Summer is fun in so many ways! May is Older Americans Month. We celebrated National Nurses Week; this week is National Nursing Home Week, and in June, we'll celebrate National Nursing Assistants Week!
Recently, the masking guidelines changed allowing us to choose whether or not we want to wear a mask while working or visiting! We've since seen so many more smiles around our campus!
Yesterday, our Culinary Services team went all out to help our Activities team prepare a brilliant Mother's Day Tea for our ladies. Fresh lemon blueberry scones, chocolate covered cherries, tea mints and tasty teas brought to mind some great memories as we chatted away the afternoon. 
Today, we were treated to some super duper delicious smile cookies courtesy of an anonymous donor and Girard's own Tim Hortons!!
Our nurses make a tremendous impact on the lives of our residents each and every day. Being a nurse is one of the most fulfilling and heartbreaking professions all at the same time. We are so grateful for our nurses.
