Here's how we use your Memorials & Donations

Thank you for your interest in making a donation to our Organization. There are many ways we use your tax-deductable monetary donations & memorials.  Our Volunteer Organization does not have employees; therefore, 100% of your donation directly benefits our residents. Here are some of the ways we are able to use your donations: The Pleasant Ridge Manor Friends Forever...

• sponsor monthly bingo games by providing volunteers to lead the group & monetary prizes to our winners
• sponsor a Fall Dance & a Christmas Party by paying for entertainment, decorations & refreshments for those events
• provide Christmas gifts for every resident
• provide funds for special community outings as determined & requested by the Activities Department
• pay for monthly maintenance of our aquariums
• pay for the music heard overhead
• pay for the cable television in our common areas, unit lounges & dining rooms
• publish, print & mail our monthly newsletters
• pay for the flowers used for our Mother's Day corsages & Father's Day boutonnieres
• maintain candy & snack inventory for our Resident Hospitality Cart sales
•  purchase license for small games of chance (annual Golf Outing)
• purchase annual membership to the Erie Community Foundation from which we are eligible to participate in their annual Erie Gives program, networking with other area non-profits, as well as other programs beneficial to area non-profits

The Friends also help PRM with special projects that improve our facility. In the past, those projects have included: the purchase of Nautilus fitness equipment for our Rehab Departments, gazebo & courtyard improvements, purchase of several resident transport vans, renovations of the Activities kitchenette, Beauty Shop renovations, the creation of an internet cafe for our residents and visitors complete renovations of the Activities Lounge and Physical Therapy Gym.
