Your room will have a wardrobe closet, dresser, and night stand for storing your belongings. We suggest that you bring seven changes of clothing with you, including underclothes, socks, and sleepwear. Please bring shoes and slippers. We will label the inside of your clothing.
You may bring other personal items. Once you see your room, you will have a better idea of how much space you have for your belongings. Extension cords are not permitted.
Please bring your prescriptions/prescription bottles, including any over-the-counter medication that you may take. Your medication orders will be verified by our pharmacist.
Please be sure to bring your insurance cards and any power-of-attorney or guardianship papers. If you have an Advanced Directive, bring that as well. We will make copies of all of these papers and give them right back to you.
Your own doctor is welcome to continue treating you as your attending physician. However, if your own doctor is unable to care for you during your stay, we will inform you of the doctors that provide physician services at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
Pleasant Ridge has a laundry service, at no additional cost to you. If your family prefers to do your laundry, we will provide a hamper and signage for you. For residents who would like to do their own laundry, a resident laundry room is available.
There is an on-site beauty and barber shop. We would be happy to make an appointment for you. There is no charge for these services.
Since February 2007, the policy of Pleasant Ridge Manor is that newly admitted residents may not smoke on the premises.
Preferred visiting hours are 9a.m. to 8p.m. However, residents may have visitors at their request at any time.
You may go out as long as it is medically appropriate and approved by your attending physician. Please speak with your nurse or social worker to determine how long you will be away from the facility.
Your pets are welcome to visit. Please check with your nurse or social worker regarding guidelines for pets.
